Shian is a 7-8 month old female Border Collie mix.
Shian is extremely timid at first and it will take some patience with whoever falls in love with her and takes her home. She spent the first night in the same spot she took up when I brought her in the house. She only got up and interacted when the other dogs were nearby. The next day she was less afraid and wagged her tail quite a bit, but she will likely take a few days to come out of her shell. Now she plays wit the other dogs, goes out the doggy door to go potty outside and sleeps in bed with all the other dogs. She comes when called and now snuggled with me in bed at night and has even kissed me!
Her foster even taught her to walk on a leash, but she still hasn't mastered it and will need some leash work.
She is not all the way housebroken, but we have been working on it. She does great with a doggy door and hasn't made any potty mistakes in a few weeks. She is good in a crate, quiet and just takes a nap.
When I first got her, she had to be carried in and out because she was never trained. She was virtually ignored and she is very unsure if she can trust humans.
She was scared riding in the car, but I really think once she understands you just want to love her and take care of her, she will come around.
You just can't push her, or she will not progress. Just let her come to you on her own terms and once she trusts you, she becomes a wonderful dog!
She would do best in a home with other dogs, as she takes her cues from the other dogs. She does great with all the cats Roseys Rescue too.
She is so sweet once she trusts you. So let's not let her down.
Take a chance on this sweet baby. The payoff will be grand!
