I restore old violins at my home in Whiteville. My wife and I continue to set up tables at festivals including Merlefest, Galax Fiddlers, and Clifftop in WVa. My old fiddles have been very well received and we've been invited back next year to each festival. In one festival they set me up in their luthiers tent where several world renowned makers tried my old ones. I was told by one maker the restoration work I'm doing is harder than making one from scratch, and the variety of instruments I'm bringing back is a "valuable service to the fiddle community". Each violin is unique, with some more suited to old time music, some bluegrass and others would be outstanding in an orchestra. I am passionate about the sound and playability of my old instruments. Every fiddle I sell comes with a case and a good bow. Prices range from $200-$4000 Come to Whiteville and find one that suits you.
