Offering for sale this one-of-a-kind masterpiece mixed media painting depicting cranes flying over two women with their horses, one of whom is playing what I believe to be the Greek stringed instrument bouzouki (aka buzuki or buzuci). Professionally framed with a fine silver accent matte under glass in a gorgeous silver leaf-motif metal frame.
I'm afraid I do not know for certain the media used on this spectacular artwork, but it's some combination of pastels, watercolor, pen, and metallic Sakura pens, which produce highly textured drawings, on what I believe to be watercolor paper. I believe it's watercolor paper because there are a number of tiny spots where the paper has "lifted" off and moved to other parts of the artwork underneath the glass: this is especially noticeable if you look at the white spots on top of the brown horse's neck. While I could remove the backing and simply dust away these migrant flakes of watercolor paper, I've decided to leave this (decision and process) to the future owner.
That all said, this painting remains in truly excellent condition, and the matte and frame are nothing short of divine – in quality, appearance and condition!
The painting itself is approximately 32" wide x 24" height and the framed dimensions are 47" wide x 39" high x 1.5" deep. Weighs approximately 27.5 pounds.
