Offering for sale this gorgeous, handcrafted, clay pottery, ceramic decorative plate featuring fluted or pie crust edges and a hand painted Japanese Satsuma motif with a center lobe of two geisha and a floral border in gold and other earthtones. The decorative plate measures 10.5" wide x 1-3/4" tall and is in outstanding condition, with no significant or noteworthy imperfections. There is an overglazed Japanese makers mark on the bottom, along with the original U.S. price sticker of $72 purchased in San Francisco in 1985. I believe this plate to be made in Japan circa the 1960s-70s and it will come with the gold plate display pictured.
