Hope the black kitty (Wilmington, NC)
Homeless animals are an ongoing problem in our society. Many people are unaware of the number of animals that are euthanized every year, not only because there are not enough people willing or able to adopt a rescue animal, but also due to the lack of medical care available to homeless animals.
While there are many excellent non-profit groups in our community that rescue and re-home dogs and cats, they often lack the funds and facilities to treat an injured or ill pet until it is well enough to be placed up for adoption.
That is why Atlantic Animal Hospital established the Coastal Animal Rescue Effort and what sets it apart from other rescue organizations. The mission of C.A.R.E. is to treat these needy animals, and find them loving new homes.
C.A.R.E. is 501(c)3 non-profit organization. All fees and donations are tax deductible.
The adoption fee is $150 PER pet and all applicants are required to meet our specifications. All pets will be up-to-date on shots, spayed or neutered, and have a microchip. If you are interested in adopting an animal then please see the application and the required specifications before applying at carewilmington.org.
