Puppies Needing a FOREVER Home
Six mutt puppies (Labish, Shepardish, Houndish, ???) were running with a stray pack. January 18th, one of the puppies was hit by a car and on the 20th their mom was hit. We then were able to capture the remaining 5 stray puppies, and they have been warm, loved, and cared for since. One was adopted by the vet tech, and we now have 4 that need loving homes.
-11 weeks old
- 2 males and 2 females
- They have had two rounds of shots, deworming, and lice treatments. The Center for Disease Control (CDC) and specialists at North Carolina State University (NCSU) say you cannot get lice from dogs (see link below).
- Almost fully potty trained!!!
- Their names
- Leashes (decent)
- Kind of know "stay"
They need a fenced in yard or frequent leash walks AND need to be inside dogs. The 2 males are very fluffy (think huskyish, but they aren't huskies). They got hot on the few sunny 50+ degree days we've had, and they were panting and seeking shade. Therefore, it is *imperative* that they are inside with AC or have hair cuts during the hot summer to avoid heatstroke (see link below for more information). The two females have much shorter hair and shiver on 40 degree sunny days.
They all love affection and will make great medium sized (40-50lbs?) lap dogs.
-Must be committed to giving a FOREVER home... meaning the full life of the dog.
-Must be a patient person (they are teething)
-Must have animal experience (this includes human babies lol)
-Must own home (not rent) with fence
-Must agree to a potential home inspection
-Must agree to spay/neuter them
-Must have a stable job for at least 1yr
-Must speak to your spouse, sister, mother, brother, roommate, roommates girlfriend/boyfriend, or your uncle's, niece's, mother's brother (if needed) AND look into financial investments like vet bills for necessary vaccinations like rabies, and the DA2PPV vaccines, flea and tick control methods, food, daily pee pads (or newspapers), a kennel, leash, collar, treats, toys, etc. ***BEFORE*** contacting us. I only put this list here because we've had several homes lined up, and they fell through due to the reasons above (mainly vet bills).
There is a one hundred dollar re-homing fee with fifty dollars returned when proof of spaying/neutering is presented. Also, you get a harness and a bag of their dog food with your purchase!
