The Senior Engineer's duties will include, but not be limited to:<br>

*Sufficient experience within engineering discipline to perform design, analysis, and evaluations of technical products and services and to identify problems and propose operational solutions as the need arises during projects and tasks.<br>

*Determine and ensure that the proper controls for a given task are in place and that supporting evaluations and analyses are documented.<br>
<br>
*Verify engineering work of, and provide technical guidance, training, and direction to others at equivalent or lesser levels and communicate to all necessary parities the nature and status of work/projects; identify and communicate product/service improvements to management.<br>
<br>
*Lead and participate on project teams.<br>

*Prepare technical descriptions/sections, including cost benefit studies, for proposals and various documents.<br>

*Propose and initiate test programs as needed and evaluate results.<br>

*Act as Primary Investigator on minor company-sponsored R&D programs.<br>

*Identify and assist in development of new business opportunities. <br>

Preferred candidate will be possess and/or be familiar with:<br>

*A Bachelors degree in Nuclear or Mechanical Engineering<br>
<br>
*2 to 6 years experience of design, analysis, and evaluations of technical products<br>

*Engineer-in-Training certificate is desirable for selected positions.<br>
<br>
- PWR nuclear fuel mechanical design as used by Westinghouse.<br>
<br>
- In-Reactor fuel performance issues.<br>

- Project Management skills<br>

- Experience working in PWR plants and with irradiated fuel inspections<br>
<br>
- Work experience in at least four of the following disciplines:<br>
<br>
*Irradiated material properties (particularly zirconium alloys).<br>
*Electronic instrumentation.<br>
*Non-destructive inspection techniques (particularly Eddy currents and Ultrasonic inspections).<br>
*Stress analysis.<br>
*Mechanical testing.<br>
*Data acquisition system software, such as Lab View.<br>
*Evaluation of data from post irradiation examinations of fuel, including hot cells.<br>
*Fuel rod thermal mechanical analysis.<br>
*Design of robotics and complex mechanisms.<br>

The preferred candidate will be a self-starter and be willing to travel up to 50% of the time for field assignments as well as possess excellent writing skills. <br>

Job Description<br>
The Brunswick Major Projects- Design group manages the development, design, and implementation of modifications to the Brunswick Nuclear Plant.   The I&C/Electrical Engineer, as part of a project team, conducts technology evaluations, translates project requirements into technical objectives and scope, provides oversight of contract engineering (A/E's, OEM, etc.), and supports supply management, installation, testing and start-up.  <br>
<br>
The Design Engineer will be responsible for the design of modification change packages to the Nuclear Power Plant and in the interfacing with A/Eฟs when necessary to support the design process.   Experience with the design of electrical control circuits, electrical distribution and protection, conduit & cable layout and associated design calculations is desired. Familiarity with the application of industrially available instrumentation (These include pressure, temperature, flow, Analytical and Radiation Monitoring systems.) and with Programmable Logic Controllers and digital systems is highly desired. <br>
<br>
The selected candidate will develop logic diagrams and electrical drawings to support the modifications. Superior communication skills and leadership ability is necessary since interface with various plant groups will be required to successfully accomplish the job function.<br>

 Job Functions include but are not limited to:<br>
-Management and coordination of moderately complex technical designs on small to medium projects.<br>
-Ability to prepare design change packages, specify installation materials and provide field interface for construction/installation.<br>
- Individual must obtain and maintain qualifications necessary to hold a position within the Emergency response organization.<br>

BESS Technical Services ฟ Rapid Response Team<br>
Rapid Response Team Roles and Responsibilities:<br>
The BESS Technical Services ฟ Rapid Response Team provides day-to-day support to maintenance and operations to ensure safe and reliable operation of the Brunswick Nuclear Plant.  This is accomplished by providing technical support for planning and implementation of maintenance activities and by providing Engineering support for schedule stability within the T-12 scheduling process.<br>
<br>
The personnel assigned to the BESS Technical Services ฟ Rapid Response Team are responsible for the following activities:<br>
<br>
-	Function as the first point-of-contact for resolution of on-line maintenance requests for engineering assistance<br>
<br>
-	Attend the 0615 Daily Conference Call and provide update at the 0700 BESS Daily Meeting.<br>
<br>
-	Function as the first point-of-contact for resolution of work orders on engineering hold.  If assistance of other BESS work groups is required, provide coordination of these requests.<br>
<br>
-	Provide day-to-day engineering support of maintenance planning and implementation activities.  Examples include:<br>
o	Interpreting applicable documents (equipment and installation specifications, maintenance requirements, etc.) in support of  maintenance planning activities<br>
o	Assist in the development and approval of rigging, scaffolding, and temporary shielding permits<br>
o	Administration of the ENP-54, Pressure Seal Work Permit Program for on-line activities<br>

As part of the Brunswick Engineering Support Section team this position will be responsible for assisting in the development and coordination of the Preventative Maintenance Program for Brunswick Nuclear Station. We're looking for an engineer with strong project and technical skills to work as part of a multi-disciplined team of station personnel and contractors to identify appropriate maintenance strategies, component information and labor/cost estimates for implementation of the Preventative Maintenance Program at Brunswick. Job Description<br>
This position is responsible for the development and implementation of integrated risk based schedules for on-line maintenance, operations, and modification activities.  The job incumbents work independently to coordinate the activities of all site work groups to support the preparation and implementation of maintenance and testing activities while the nuclear units are in an operating mode.  The job incumbent will be expected to influence positive line organization performance, to implement objectives by coaching and exhibiting strong leadership skills and through effective written and oral communications.  <br>

Major duties include:<br>
---Coordinates work activities and site resources to manage the various work management inputs to support maintaining high levels of equipment reliability<br>
---Develops the NRC mandated site risk management profiles.  Additionally, has the primary responsibility to manage and minimize nuclear and commercial risk during development and execution of the On-line Schedule.<br>
---Coordinates with various site work groups to identify high priority work that could impact the scheduled activities.  Based on priorities identified, assists in managing site resources to complete priority work<br>
---Leads and facilitates necessary meetings during On-line Schedule development and during the execution of the assigned work weeks.  Also accountable for follow-up evaluation activities for major work activities and for the overall work week critique<br>

We're looking for nuclear professionals with strong project and technical skills to drive these complex and capital intensive projects to successful completion.  The Senior Project Management Specialist, as part of a project team, is responsible for implementation of major modifications.

<li> Perform various skilled and semi-skilled tasks in the installation, repair, maintenance and operation of mechanical, electrical and environmental controls and life safety systems

<li> Ensures proper operation of systems in compliance with required regulations and codes
<li> Test, maintain and evaluate equipment by using instrumentation

We're looking for nuclear professionals with strong project and technical skills to drive these complex and capital intensive projects to successful completion.  The Senior Project Management Specialist, as part of a project team, is responsible for implementation of major modifications.    <br>

Job Duties and Responsibilities<br>
The successful candidate, as part of a team, will coordinate implementation of major modifications. This involves significant communication and coordination with plant personnel, design firms, OEMs, and other internal organizations. Specific responsibilities include all aspects of project management:  determining resource requirements, schedule development, contract administration, and oversight of installation activities.  Familiarity with nuclear power plant equipment and operations is required. Flexibility is valued due to the variety of projects to which the successful candidate will be assigned. Finally, the successful candidate will identify improvement opportunities and take initiative to implement corrective actions. Strong teamwork, project management and communication skills are required.<br>
Qualifications<br>

Current needs within the group include experience in FAC program management, however, candidates with applicable programs experience will be considered. To date we have received firm contracts to construct plants in Georgia, Tennessee, South Carolina, and China.   Future contracts to construct more AP-1000 designed pressurized water reactors are expected in Florida and Texas.  China has stated that they may need to have as many as 100 pressurized water reactors online or under construction by 2020.    Westinghouse will likely hire a similar number of degreed engineers and technical people of all disciplines over the next 3 years. Some of those openings will be in the city listed above. BESS Technical Services - Rapid Response Team<br>
Rapid Response Team Roles and Responsibilities:<br>
The BESS Technical Services - Rapid Response Team provides day-to-day support to maintenance and operations to ensure safe and reliable operation of the Brunswick Nuclear Plant.  This is accomplished by providing technical support for planning and implementation of maintenance activities and by providing Engineering support for schedule stability within the T-12 scheduling process.<br>
The personnel assigned to the BESS Technical Services - Rapid Response Team are responsible for the following activities:<br>
	Function as the first point-of-contact for resolution of on-line maintenance requests for engineering assistance<br>
	Attend the 0615 Daily Conference Call and provide update at the 0700 BESS Daily Meeting.<br>
	Function as the first point-of-contact for resolution of work orders on engineering hold.  If assistance of other BESS work groups is required, provide coordination of these requests.<br>
	Provide day-to-day engineering support of maintenance planning and implementation activities.  Examples include:<br>
&#61692;	Interpreting applicable documents (equipment and installation specifications, maintenance requirements, etc.) in support of maintenance planning activities<br>
&#61692;	Assist in the development and approval of rigging, scaffolding, and temporary shielding permits<br>
&#61692;	Administration of the ENP-54, Pressure Seal Work Permit Program for on-line activities<br>
&#61692;	Provide engineering evaluation for repair of non-safety related supports in accordance with Spec 248-107<br>
&#61692;	Assist in the resolution of procurement of spare or replacement parts<br>
&#61692;	Provide engineering review of Facility Change Packages when required<br>
&#61692;	Prepare and approve 0SPP-PIX502, Leak Injection Repair review packages.<br>
&#61692;	Assist maintenance (as required) in troubleshooting minor equipment problems.  Significant troubleshooting activities may require the expertise of system and/or design engineers.<br>
&#61692;	Provide engineering assistance to maintenance in implementing temporary power installations.<br>
&#61692;	During refueling outages, the Rapid Response Team provides engineering assistance to the operating unit.  As such, the Rapid Response Team personnel are not typically involved with refueling outage activities.<br>
&#61692;	Develop Engineering Change Packages for selected minor modifications to support emergent issues or other special situations.  Determination of whether the engineering change is to be performed by the Rapid Response Team or the BESS Design Unit will be determined on a case-by-case basis by the applicable supervisors.<br>

Job Description:<br>
This position is for a Chemical or Mechanical system engineer at the Brunswick Nuclear Plant. The incumbent will qualify as system engineer and provide engineering support for the Plant Systems Engineering Unit. Other duties include obtaining and maintaining qualification for support of the site Emergency Response Organization and engineering support for field activities associated with assigned systems. <br>

Requirements: <br>
BS degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or related discipline is required. Previous experience with nuclear or industrial fluid waste treatment and processing is desired.  Some experience with instrumentation & controls is also desired. Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills and a working knowledge of Windows-based computer applications such as Microsoft Office Suite are required. Additional requirements include obtaining and maintaining unescorted access to the nuclear plant and participation in the random fitness for duty program. Position will require some call-out and outage support. <br>

The selected candidate will be required to obtain U.S. Nuclear Power Plant Unescorted Access and will participate in the company's Fitness-for-Duty Program. Candidates may also be required to maintain qualifications and on-call responsibilities in support of the plant Emergency Response Organization.  In order to obtain unescorted access, the selected candidate will be required to complete a Personal History Questionnaire (PHQ).  Information from this form will be used to conduct an extensive background investigation as required by Title 10 of the Code of Federal Regulations.  It is unlikely you will be granted access if (1) you have had a positive drug or alcohol test within the past five years, (2) you have used or possessed drugs in the past five years, (3) you have a felony conviction in the past five years, (4) you have recent misdemeanor convictions, (5) you falsify or omit information or fail to fully cooperate during the investigation process.  This list is not inclusive.<br>
Qualifications:<br>
Bachelor's degree in engineering (not engineering technology program) from an ABET accredited program or a current PE license is required.  An international engineering degree will be considered. A Master's degree in engineering will be considered in lieu of the B.S. engineering degree. 3-5 years engineering experience required.<br>
